A controversial discussion on a Friday to get to 4M posts...

A church in Blacklick, Ohio is making a
statement using Katy Perry's song "I kissed a girl." Havens
Corners Church put up a sign with the lyrics "I kissed a girl and
I liked it" and an additional line that reads "Then I went to
hell." The pastor says the sign is a warning to teens about
homosexuality. He admits the sign has confused some people who
either don't know the song or don't understand the message. The
director of a gay rights group says she understands the message
just fine: that the church isn't very accepting.

wow that's pretty intolerant. I'm all about churches putting up clever messages on their signs to get people interested, but that is way over the line. Best one I ever saw though:

Was it just the kissing of the girl that she liked that got her sent to hell? Or that she liked the taste of her cherry chapstick that pushed her over the edge? 
I can't take these things seriously. I'd be burned at the stake if I lived in a small town.

As for the original post, that's awful and sad. The church is supposed to be welcoming not judgemental.

OK first of all how can you take anything too seriously when this is the name of the town you live in.
Second of all....so little kids who think a friendly kiss hello is what they are talking about are now worried that they are going to hell.
