Re: A day in the life of your child
I am going to go on a Monday, because its my day off and its the most routine: We try to be social all day long, Noah loves playing wtih other kiddies, and he loves the playground, especially the slides and the zoo in our local park.
-Noah gets up at about 7.15 (ish) -He eats Toast with Marmite for breakfast, or maybe a crumpet with strawberry jam. Mostly he chews it and spits it out, or he tries to feed it to me or the kitties. -At 10 am I always go somewhere, be it Playgroup at our local church, out to the park or the playground, or to a coffee morning at someones house. -We usually return from that outing at around 11.30/12 noon-ish -After we return from that, Noah has a nap, it could last anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. -After his nap he has lunch, I can't usually keep him awake until that, so he has something simple like beans on toast, some pasta, a sandwich with cheese, tuna, hummus. He doesn't eat much really. -After lunch, at around 2.30/3, I usually go out and meet the Chorlton Bad MOthers Club somewhere, we have about 3 parks in our neighbourhood and an indoor playground, so we meet up there until about 5, 5.30. Noah has lots of snacks in the afternoon. -We give the kid his tea (dinner) at around 6 pm, he eats things like Tuna Pasta, Shepherds Pie, Scrambled Eggs. Again, he doesn't tend to eat much but after his tea he will have a big plate of fruit, which he loves. -at 6.30ish we go into the living room and watch "In the Night Garden" and sing and dance. -At 7 pm we go upstairs and start out bedtime routine -7.45 the kid is usually fast asleep and Mummy and Daddy are very happy.

Re: A day in the life of your child
Cailen is almost 18 weeks (4.5 mts)
He is in daycare, but I'll go thru a typical day...
what time they get up- hmmm... lets see... I put him down at abuot 8. He wakes up at 10, 12, 2, and then between 4-5 AM for the day... He may go back down between 7-8 on mornings he's not in daycare for another half hour or so...
When they eat-
Similac Advance, and just beginning rice cereal and loving it!
when they nap - very rare for him to nap - but on the days he does nap - at around 12:00-1:30... he will always fall asleep in a car ride, and on the way home from daycare, he'll fall asleep and maybe continue sleeping in the house for another hour or so.
what activities do you do- This I do a oot of - I try to wear him out to no avail - read book after book, peek-a-boo, this little piggy, jumperoo, "free fall" with mommy (I lift him in my arms and free fall him into my lap or the couch on his hiney) - lots of toys - his lamaze snake, Very Hungry Caterpillar toy, stacking cups, rattles, crinkle toys, etc - we play all evening together until 9-10 at night. The times you see me on here is when I'm giving him a little lonely down time!!!
What games do you play- peek-a-boo, I got your feet, I got your belly, itsy bitsy spider... etc
what, if any, tv is watched- I am so bad... I let him watch TV when I shower - he loves little bear and maisy now!

Re: A day in the life of your child
Steven will be 9 months next week.
He wakes up around 6. We change diaper and get dressed. He watches Play with Me Sesame, then eats his breakfast at 6:30. Today it was rice cereal and a 1/2 banana. Sometimes I give him yogurt and sometimes instead of fresh fruit, I used the baby food. He plays with ALL of his toys for 45 minutes while Sesame Street is on in the background. When I'm working, he goes to my moms, but his schedule is usually the same even if he's home. He gets an 8 oz bolle and he naps around 9 ish for a short while, 1/2 hour or 1 hour. He has a snack, usually fruit or puffs. Then lunch, a Stage 3 meal, or some left over from whatever I had for dinner the night before and fruit. He naps again from about 1 to 4. Gets up, has a snackand then dinner around 5 or 5:30. I get home at 6, and we start the bed time routine around 6:30 or 7. He falls asleep any time between 7 and 8.
Games: We play patty cake all the time and we sing and dance. I play with his toys with him. I bounce him on my exercise ball.
Sometimes I feel like we could be doing more, but the day seems so busy when you are going through it!

Paige is 6 months
Paige gets up at between 5-530
she is not the greatest when is comes to solids. She loves cereal but thats really it. Ive been trying to find that one food that she loves, but i have had any success yet.
She hardly naps for me, but at grandmas house she naps all the time. Im not sure of the time she naps. Its usually 2-3 naps.
We take walks, play on her mat, play in the jumperoo, read books and just sit and cuddle.
I play peek a boo and tickle fingers with her. LOL
Noggin, Baby Einstein. She doesnt watch much TV.
Dinner is around 6 because her bedtime is 7-730.

Re: A day in the life of your child
Ava is almost 14 months, and here's what her day looks like:
7:45am-wake up, drinks some soymilk in her pack n play while watching some tv and reading some books.
8:45am- we go downstairs so she can run around and play with her toys down there while I prepare breakfast.
9:15am- breakfast, usually pancakes or french toast or an omlette, etc.
9:30ish- back to playing with her Dora car and other books and what not downstairs.
10am-Naptime till almost noon.
Noonish- Lunch. Either a turkey sandwich with some hummus on it, or pasta and broccoli, or whatever I have leftover from the night before's dinner.
12:30ish-bath and get dressed. Yes, she's usually in her pjs till now. She gets really messy when she eats, so why bother dressing her?
1:00- we usually go out or go to the pool or play outside for a few hours.
3:00- Wherever we are, Ava usually has a snack at this point. Either a piece of cinnamon bread or some cheerios or fruit.
4:00-5:00- Ava's time to run around and play again, usually in the upstairs of the house for a change of pace from the morning.
5:00- back downstairs so I can prepare dinner.
5:30-Dinnertime.
6:00- We get cleaned up, pjs on and Ava and I spend the next hour just playing together, singing songs, snuggling, reading books, etc. It's time where Ava and I are alone and I generally don't let anything interrupt us.
7:00ish (sometimes a little earlier)- Ava goes back in the pack n play with her last cup of soy milk for the day and watches her Classical Baby dvd for a few minutes.
7:15-7:30- Bedtime. Kisses and hugs and straight to the crib.
I guess our routine is a little boring, but I like it for now since I'll be going back to work in a few weeks. It kind of maximizes our time together. Plus, JT is home until the early afternoon, so I like to stay home with her while he's here so we can all spend time together.

Re: A day in the life of your child
Here's an average day...
what time they get up - between 7-8:00
When they eat (include meal and snack descriptions)- breakfast at 8:30, snack after nap, lunch around 1:30, snack around 4:00, dinner at 6:30
what they eat- Luca's a great eater. For breakfast it's either an Eggo waffle, cinnamon toast with cream cheese, Cheerios, egss. Lunch is yogurt or cottage cheese and fruit, cut up pieces of turkey and cheese with whole grain crackers. Dinner is whatever we're having like pasta, chicken nuggets, veggies. If I don't have anything prepared he'll have a Gerber Graduates. Snacks are dried fruit, cut up fresh fruit, goldfish, crackers, cheese.
when they nap - morning nap is around 9 and he'll go down for an hour to two hours. Afternoon nap is around 3:30-4:00 for an hour or so
what activities do you do- I try to get out of the house every day, even if it's just to run errands. I feel like a change of scenary is stimulating, even if we're just going food shopping or to Target. When it's nice we try to go to the pool or beach and if it's not too hit we goto the park.
What games do you play- we sing a lot, read books, play with his toys )he's finally figured out how to work a lot of them)
what, if any, tv is watched- I can't lie, we watch Playhouse disney in the morning- though it just tends to be on in the background, it doesn't hold his attention. In the afternoon if we're home, the TV is usually on, but that's more for my sake than his.
when is dinner- dinner is at 6:30. He eats for about a half hour and then has his bottle, a little bit of play time and then he's in his crib no later than 7:30.

Julia is 2 years old....
She gets up at 9am
She eats cereal or waffle in the morning, has veggies for a snack (loves carrots) or slices of cheese with crackers.
Lunch: Grilled cheese, mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, pizza, tuna sandwich (depends on what she's in the mood for). If we are out, she will eat anything on the kids menu I order.
Julia will nap where ever we are, she's never been on a schedule, and Im glad cause I never want to be tied down to staying at home. If we are home, she will take one nap in the late afternoon.
Julia goes to gymnastics, and will be doing dance classes in the fall, she has playdates once a week.
Julia loves to watch Noggin, she loves all the shows!
She eats whatever I make for dinner, she's really not picky.

I'll put on the music channel, CD or radio and we'll dance around together. She loves to watch mommy lip sync and act really silly.

Re: A day in the life of your child
Alyssa is just about 14 months old....
she wakes around 6:30 AM - sometimes 7:00 if Im very lucky, not usually. she will lay in bed with me at that point and watch Disney Clubhouse - Wiggles is her favorite these days. She'll have 8 oz of milk about 1/2 hr - 1 hr after she wakes up.
we'll get her dressed and she'll have breakfast about 9AM - lately, toast with butter or jelly, a blueberry waffle, cherrios......
Nap around 10:30-12 ish
Lunch around 1:00 - a cereal bar, yogurt, fruit
she will snack in the afternoon - dried fruit, crackers, goldfish, juice mixed with water, pretzels, bagel chips
dinner is usually about 6PM - she is still not eating enough dinner table food wise so she usually gets 1 or 2 jars of babyfood plus some of whatever we are eating.
bathtime is about 7:00 bottle (8 oz milk) at 8PM..sleeping around 8:30
sometimes she will take a 2nd nap later in the day 3:30-4:30 ish.
what activities do you do? we sing and dance a lot, go for walks, go to the park, visit grandpa, go to the mall, run errands
What games do you play? her favorite toys right now are her disney princess ride on toy, her learning table, her peek a block school bus..... we read books together, cuddle and watch a baby einstein movie before nap or bedtime.
what, if any, tv is watched? she watches disney in the AM - usually jo jo's circus and wiggles - she is up a lot earlier than most of the 1 year olds it seems - she only gets about 10 hrs sleep at night. baby einstein dvds are her favorite.

Re: A day in the life of your child
Alyson Paige 19 mths
what time they get up 9-10am, sometimes later, sometimes earlier (rare instances)
WHEN she eats: milk first thing after waking up and with breakfast, breakfast is about 30 min after she wakes up (unless she asks to "eat") sometimes fruit mid morning Lunch is 12:30-1pm unless she asks to "eat" Snack is after naptime IF she asks for it, but always drinks water with lunch and after nap. Dinner:5:30-6pm
What they eat (include meal and snack descriptions) breakfast: 1/2 lender's bagel w/ cream cheese, cereal, oatmeal, a piece of toast w/ All Fruit, waffles, pancakes Lunch: leftovers--at home it's a full meal portein, carb, veggie normally. sometimes I slack and give her pizza or mac n cheese but ALWAYS a veggie. Quesadillas, chicken tenders or cutlets or BBQ chix, meatball w/ pasta, meatloaf w/ potatoes, mac n cheese, leftover bbq burger, grilled cheese Dinner: whatever we eat pretty much. If I think she won't eat it then it's leftovers or chicken tenders and side dishes. AGAIN, ALWAYS a veggie. VEGGIES: green beans broccoli, corn (niblets AND cob), cauliflower, steamed carrots, tossed salad (yes, she has tried and like salad w/ dressing), peas Fruit: always w/ breakfast and whenever she wants it. I can't say no to a child who prefers fruit over snacks. SNACKS: pretzels, goldfish, puffs, cinnamon wheat thins, Gerber or Welchs fruit snacks, cereal bars, yogurt (she only eats a few spoonfuls), string cheese, fruit
when they nap normally I put her down between 1:30-2pm and it's for 2 hours. We have the occasional 45 min nap or 2 1/2 hr nap.
what activities do you do color, dance, Little Leaps Grow with Me video game, read LOTS of books, puzzles, blow bubbles outside, go for walks (she asks to go for a walk), we take the mail to the mailbox and get the mail when it comes, play with the dogs, play with baby brother
What games do you play hide and seek, chase, her video game (we sit and play with her), wrestling (yes, she is a rough and tumble kinda girl who loves being upside down, bench pressed by DH, and "body slammed" on the bed and throwing pillows and falling on them).
ETA: after naptime, she often goes down to Grandma's Apt to play and get some one on one time. Not sure WHAT they do.....
what, if any, tv is watched Noggin, Sprout, PBS in the AM (Sesame St, Clifford, Blue's Clues, Jack's Big Music Show when we can catch it, Dora, Diego) and the Good Night Show on Sprout after bathtime.
when is dinner Dinner is served 5:30-6pm and it takes her about 30 min to eat/play with her food. Lately she's been getting a kick out of letting the dogs lick her hands since she is in her "big girl" booster seat at the table.

Amber (3) (female)
what time they get up: Depending on where she needs to be (daycare, etc), it varies between 6:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
When they eat (include meal and snack descriptions): For Breakfast, if she's not hungry when she wakes up (happens occassionally), I'll bring cereal bars and milk/juice in the car or bag up some dry Cheerios, etc. If she's staying home, she'll typically have scrambled/hardboiled eggs, yogurt, cereal or waffles. For lunch (usually around 12:00-1:00) she'll have whatever Daycare is offering (which as of lately has not been a fan fave :( ) or Mac N' Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza. Sometimes we'll try Chicken Noodle Soup or Corn on the Cob. For Dinner, we try roasted chicken or Turkey w/some veggies, etc. Occassionally she'll go for Pasta w/meat or Tacos, Chinese food, etc. Throughout the day, she snacks on whatever the daycare gives them or "junk" from home (cheese crackers, chips/pretzels, popcorn, various fruits, etc.).
when they nap: When not in daycare, she crashes whenever (usually late afternoon - after 3:00). At daycare, between 1:00 and 2:30.
what activities do you do: At daycare, she does alot of crafts, outdoor play, puzzles, building blocks, computer lab, games, etc. Same sort of stuff when home w/Grandma but she also goes in the pool alot (which she loves) and gets to go to alot of Library programs/puppetshows.
What games do you play: We play Ring Around the Rosey, Hide and Seek, etc. I'm trying to introduce board games like Candyland, etc.
what, if any, tv is watched: Alot of early morning programs like TeleTubbies, Sesame Street (when I'm getting ready for work, etc.). At night she watches a video or two of from her Blue's Clue's collection.
when is dinner: It varies but usually between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.
We still don't have a sleep schedule at 3!!
Perhaps we can all get new ideas on games/activities/foods or whatever to do with our child OOh and include age and sex too! and a name if you are comfortable doing so
