Re: A day in the life of your child

DDn is 8 1/2 mo.

what time they get up
She gets up around 7 am

When they eat (include meal and snack descriptions)
7:15/7:30 She eates bfast which is about 1/2 c cereal with formuls, 3 oz of formula to drink, a jar of fruit and a mini pancake. She will usually eat 1/2 of it

After bfast she goes into her exersaucer and watched Jacks Big Music Show. Then we crawl around a bit and play and she has about 3 or 4 oz of another bottle at around 9;30 and takes a nap at 10. Usually it is for an hr-an 1 1/2 hr. When she awakes, we get dressed and play a bit.

Lunch is around 12:30 and is a jar of veggies and yogurt. Sometimes pastina and a veggie and some fruit. I try to give her a bottle as well becuase she isnt drinking much lately. She drinks about 3-4 oz.

THen we go out shopping, park, mall.
We come home and she usually naps for 2-3 hrs in the day after her morning nap. She has a snack at 4ish which is diluted juice and gerber puffs or a zweiback cookie. Dinner about 5:30 which is a jar of baby food (turkey dinner, chicken, etc) and a jar of Veggies, some water and sometimes fruit.

We crawl around and play also thru out the day and after dinner. I read to her about 6:30 and then get her ready for bed. She takes a bath at 7 and then we have a 9 oz bottle. She then goes to bet anywhere between 7;45 and 8:15. Very rarely is she up until 8:30 She then sleeps the entire night.

We play with stuffed animals, stacking toys, nursery rhyme toys, leapfrog games. I sing to her alot. She watches tv sometimes during the day.... she lalso likes Blues Clues and the Upside Down Show.

Re: A day in the life of your child

Jacob is 19 months old..

Wakes up at 7:45/8:00am.. drinks 8 oz bottle of milk in bed with me and DH while watching Nick Jr.

Downstairs after that for more play in the den...with noggin on in the background. Basically he just likes to climb all over me, the couch, the dog, run, jump and throw toys.. he's entering a very wild stage.

Breakfast is like 9:30.. waffles, french toast, bagel, pancakes.. etc..

More play, helps me unload the dishwasher, helps me do laundry, more running.. more jumping, more climbing..

Nap is 12-1:30... then lunch.. he usually eats PBJ, grilled cheese, the kid hardly eats anything.. Chat Icon Chat Icon

Out around 2... errands, or we go in our pool, go for walks, play on the front/back lawn..

Dinner is around 6.. eats hardly anything again.. i'm not even going to go into that. Then outside again, plays with the neighborhood kids, or we go on more walks..walk up to get ices/ice cream or the ice cream man comes around and he gets it from him.. he gets all messy and tired, and then its inside at like 7/7:30 for a bath.

Then its more playtime in his bedroom, I try to read books with him, he just throws them. More running, more climbing, plays tug o war with the dog, and I get on the floor and we play wrestle...

There is no "calm" time for my son.. its always 110% high level activity at all times.. I brush his teeth, and then its me rocking my big toddler in my lap while feeding him his last bottle at around 8:30/9pm... he falls asleep in my arms, i transition to the crib and he sleeps thru the night. The end... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: on many occasions esp the summertime, we are out by 10:30/11:00 and go to our community pool with my neighbors and their kids. Those days he usually skips a nap and turns into 100% pure BEAST!!.. but sometimes I just cant deal with being home all day.
