A little embarrassing, but I'm gonna ask anyway...

Have any of you had a period that lasted for more than a month?

I was diagnosed with PCOS last month, and that answered a lot of questions as far as symptoms I've been having.
But to make a long story short, I got my period on June 28th, and I've had it ever since.

Saw my GYN on 7/20, and she said from what she could see on the sono, I should have stopped bleeding by now. I called her today, but she hasn't called me back yet.

I guess I don't know why I'm posting this. I plan on having this checked again ASAP, but won't have insurance again for another 2 weeks or so.

Thanks for letting me vent. I'm starting to see that TTC is going to be real fun.

I had continual bleeding before my infertility issues were even a concern. It was a cyst that needed removal.

The only time I had anything like that was when I had an anovulatory cycle. I spotted all month, but it was never a real flow. I hope you get some answers soon

Yes I once bled (heavy bleeding) for 4 months straight. It was a nightmare. The doctor finally stopped it with BC pills (which I couldn't tolerate and had to stop, but luckily the nontop bleeding didn't begin again). Lots of times I don't bleed for 3-4 months and then bleed for like a month at a time.

I've had this as well and the only thing that stopped it was birth control pills. I have never had a doctor give me an exact answer as to what the cause was.
