Sounds ilke an Abercrombie job where they want a certain 'type' to work there.
I worked at Abercrombie in college-- they actually gave a book called The Look Book, with appropriate hairstyles, etc.
I would be weary of this-- BUT, in Europe, most people attach a photo to their CV. It's not the most normal thing, but it's not tha t crazy.
I agree with wanting to speak and qualify the job lead before you send your pic.

Speaking of Abercrombie - I was at Roosevelt Field on Saturday and the young man who greets everyone was not wearing a shirt! I was shocked.

I see that all the time at their stores. I think it's kind of gross. That and you aren't even allowed in the mall without your shirt on, so why should employees be allowed to go topless?
