I don't mess around with head injuries. When DS fell backwards on his chair in school, we took him to the ER to get checked out. Limbs can heal. Heads, not so much....

I'm so glad this story has a happy ending, but I can't believe how long her parents let her go without taking her to the ER. And while I commend the father for spending time playing baseball with his DD, I can't believe he'd hit a line drive in the prescence of a 7 y/o!!
We have a policy at work that if someone suffers from a head injury an ambulance is to be called, even if they refuse. The same rules should apply at home. Head injuries are no joke.

This is comforting in to read in the wake of her death. I'm glad she is ok.
May Natasha RIP. I'm still thinking about that tragedy, her poor Liam & boys.

That is such a great story. I am so happy the parents called and took her to the hospital and i'm beyond thrilled the little girl is fine!

DHs cousin died of a brain injury..two days later. He never sought medical care and died of the same thing.
So terrible. I am glad this little girl has been saved. Makes you wonder now when do you let things slide and when do you run to the er for head bumps, bangs, etc?
