Mortgage people, what's the story with not calling you back?
I can't get over the fact that no one seems to call you back for a mortgage!!!
With our first mortgage we had the same scenario.....calling calling....I had to keep on top of them like crazy!
Second house same thing.....on top of them everyday....
Now we want to refinance both houses and not only are the original people nowhere to be found, but anyone else that was recommended is the SAME WAY!!!
Is it some kind of prerequisite to not call anyone back?
I know in my line of work, if I didn't call a client back, not only was I dead, but my business was too!!!!!

thats terrible- we just used preferred empire for our mortgage and they were wonderful- I can fm you the info if you want- they are a broker and placed our mortgage with hsbc

It's becasue they are getting slammed with refi requests lately. It's going to take time for them to call us back. I keep calling every day too..Good luck.

It's becasue they are getting slammed with refi requests lately. It's going to take time for them to call us back. I keep calling every day too..Good luck.
Also - try to go inhouse for your refi (use the same bank you currently have your mortgage with) - it will save you money on closing costs, etc.. just a tip!

It's not just with the refi stuff going on...I have had this problem every time I need a mortgage!
And I am getting the same situation with my current bank!

And I am getting the same situation with my current bank!
I know someone that will call you every month to see if you need anything and how you are doing. if you want the info FM me... while we were looking for a house he would always check in to see if we found one etc. plus he will come to you...

And it's funny, a year ago, our mortgage co. was calling us at least 3x a week to "see if we were interested in a line of credit" and now they take forever to call you.......
