a serious question for SAHM...
how do you handle clean up with DC home? This is my biggest pet peeve about being home I'll clean something and turn around and there's crap strewn all over the place again. I find myself constantly picking things up all day long. Do you confine DC to one area or do you just leave everything till the end of the day?

I try and clean up all day - here and there - but then there are some days that I just leave it.
That is when DH comes home and sees thing everywhere and helps me clean up.

We have a playroom upstairs, but the TV is not hooked up so we are in the living room pretty much all day - I try and keep a lot of it upstairs until I bring it down for them to play with. When they go down for a nap I bring it back up.
We also have a basket of toys - I bring a few out at a time, and put them back in when they go down for a nap or to sleep for the night- it doesn't take more than 5 mins.

(not stay at home, but home today) I clean up as I go along AND I do a big tidy at night.
But my house remains a mess nonetheless...oh well!

we live with the clutter....the house is clean, but messy at times. For us, it's more important to develop the relationships and raise happy kids than to obsess over what the house looks like.

Same here. I work Tues-Thurs and on the days I work cr@p is everywhere. On the days I am home, I try to clean as I go, but it just never ends.

DS is almost 4, and we were at the point where he was making less of a mess everywhere, and we could keep up with everything he did. Now, DD is almost 1, and crawling and cruising, so the hurricane-type mess starts all over again....
