A Thousand Splendid Suns
I loved "Kite Runner" and have been hesitating to get "A Thousand Splendid Sunds" for fear of being disappointed. Anyone read it? Any feedback?

I read it prior to reading the Kite Runner, which I'm reading now. I loved the book. I loved the story.

Re: A Thousand Splendid Suns
I absolutely loved it! I mean LOVEDLOVEDLOVED it. Usually books with depressing themes (and being a woman living under the Taliban is definitely depressing) leave me feeling very sad but this one didn't.

I consider A Thousand Splendid Suns and The Kite Runner to be two of the best books I have ever read.

Re: A Thousand Splendid Suns
I certainly wasn't disappointed by A Thousand Splendid Suns...I loved the book. But I do think The Kite Runner was a deeper book and I liked it better.

Re: A Thousand Splendid Suns
Bumping this because I just bought the book. I'm intrigued by the theme of women living under the Taliban. I know a lot of you loved it; can anyone offer any input about it? What about it did you ilke?

Re: A Thousand Splendid Suns
I think as a woman, I could relate more to this book than The Kite Runner, although I thought that was an excellent book too.

Re: A Thousand Splendid Suns
I really enjoyed it too. Both books were great but I think I liked this one a litle bit better, I don't know if it was the women's point of view that I liked better but it was a excellent book!
