a woman in my office
just got flowers delivered from her husband. for no reason.
the card attached read "for all you do."
now i'm not complaining, but the last time my DH got me flowers they were free from his friend who worked at a florist and he had some leftover

Same here! I got them almost every single paycheck! Until we started saving for the wedding..now..My birthday & Valentines day!

That's nice! But after working for years in an office, I can tell you that some people send flowers to "show off". The appearance are not always the truth. That being said, it was very nice of him to send flowers.
Maybe she was "extra" nice last night with "all she does".

how nice is that! my mom's boss gets flowers for no reason from her husband too.
my DH would NEVER think of that! I'm lucky if i get flowers once a year, for one of the holidays that occur. sometimes i have to hint at it!

My husband asks me if he can put flowers on the cc for me. Kinda takes the surprise out of getting flowers.

DH picks up flowers at the supermarket when he goes food shopping sometimes.
It's the same flowers I pick up from the supermarket everytime I go food shopping.
that's the flowers he gets me for my birthday or our anniversary.
The same ones I pick up when food shopping everytime. Very special.
Then get gets mad when I tell him how special it is that he gets the same flowers we get a few times a month.
Thanks for letting me vent!

That's SO nice! Rob NEVER sends me flowers. Especially since the last time he did I tossed the whole bouquet and vase in the trash in a fit of pique.

I don't get flowers because I don't WANT flowers. 99% of them make me itchy. DH brings me home things that don't die, like Carvel...or a charm for my silver charm bracelet, etc. And he ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS calls me before he brings it home and says, "I have a surpriiiiise for you!"

my es used to send me flowers at work. it was definitely for show to make HIM look good.
it IS a sweet gesture when it's meant for the right reasons though.

There is a florist in my town that has a sign in the window... "Your wife called.... bring some flowers home" or something to that effect
And Blu-ize, are they the Shop Rite roses?
In my solidly single days, I'd buy them for myself but I never brought them into work.
Last week I was listening to Howard and heard Kathy Griffin. I thought, "I have to pick up that book". Well, DH must have read my mind, literally, because he bought me a copy that afternoon

Funny I opened this thread. DH came to my office to give me tulips on my lunch break. It wasn't really for no reason, it was more of an "I'm sorry". Does that count as no reason?
