I am so very sorry. I've been where you are 2x and I have to tell you, if it's an aggressive form of cancer, there isn't much they will be able to do.
Rachel was my beautiful blue/grey Persian who developed breast tumors. I had surgery on her in April of 1992 and by October 1992, she had a larger mass growing in it's place. We had that removed and by February 1993, a third developed. We did all we could to make her comfortable, but the doctor finally relented and admitted there wasn't anything they could do to prolong her life.
My himmy Victor developed jawbone cancer. We had surgery performed on him in late (Nov/Dec 1999). By March 2000, it had returned and the doctor said we'd have to remove more than 3/4 of his jaw. I couldn't stand to see him in pain. He was my best boy. My heart still aches for him to this very day.
Please get an opinion that is upfront and direct. Sometimes the treatment is not worth the suffering they endure to prolong their lives.

I'm so sorry about yours, thank you for sharing. My DH is going to go speak to the vet tomorrow about our options.
He broke down last night saying how he doesn't want helmut to be in pain or not able to be himself, it just wouldn't be right to keep him alive if he can't do what he loves (run, jump, etc. etc. - he's a very hoppy cat).
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers.
@Kris - he's an absolute mess... but had to put it on the back burner this morning to go to work. TG he's off tomorrow thru Friday.

we took our cat to the one in plainview (on lie serv rd) for emergency surgery.
im so sorry you have to go through this. its so hard to deal.

our dog was diagnosed with cancer we went to LIV in plainview. with chemo we got about 2 more years out of her. she was only 5 when diagnosed.
