acid reflux?

I'm 28+ weeks and suffering pretty badly. It started very early this time around, in the first trimester. Tums stopped working, now pepcid complete has stopped working. Doctor said to try nexium. Has anyone used nexium and did it work???? Please tell me it works!!! I can't bend over without getting nauseous (and sometimes vomiting) and I'm sleeping pretty much in an upright position. And I still have a ways to go.
TIA!

I used Zantac my first pregnancy and it helped immensely. So far Tums has worked fine this time around but I'm still early.

I feel your pain. I had it bad with DS and I have had some here and there during the first trimester. I used tums pretty often when I had it bad, but if its not doing the job then I would try the nexium or zantac.

I feel your pain. I've been ok with Tums so far so hopefully they keep working.

As far as nexium, I haven't taken it pregnant but I did used to take it and it definitely works, BUT it's not instant relief. It's more repairing than relief. Have you tried Zantac?

I have not - based on my symptoms, etc. the doctor recommended nexium as next step.

Thanks for all your responses!

acid reflux?

Pepsid wasn't really working well for me by the end. When i asked my doctor she said 40mg was okay in a day which was actually 4 pills. I started taking 2 before bed and then if I needed more I would take another later. I never tried anything else bc no matter how much I complained my doctors never recommended anything else.

It's the worst. Before pregnancy I took 1 tums in my life. Now I bought the super sized bottle at Costco. But they dont always work. As soon as nausea left heartburn set in.
