Acupuncture question
For those of you that got a BFP while doing acupuncture, did you also take any herbs recommended to you by the acupuncturist? I have been going to acupuncture for about a month-love it!- and now she wants me to start taking herbs. I do take the royal jelly but I am hesitant to do more.
Last cycle (my first with acupuncture) my beta was positive but the number was low (16) and it didn't stick. It did make me hopeful though b/c that is the closest we have gotten.

Re: Acupuncture question
I haven't taken any if the herbs she recommended. I'm not big on that. I do however eat certain foods she had recommended.

Re: Acupuncture question
Would you mind sharing which foods you eat? I did cut out dairy on her recommendation, and I do feel better now. I would love to know what else to do food wise. Thanks!

Re: Acupuncture question
I was taking soooo many fertility drugs that the thought of taking any additional pill/herb/etc made me
I intentionally went with an acupuncturist who didn't push all that. Instead, I did acupuncture twice a week while actively in a cycle (otherwise went once a week) and I ate lots of red foods to increase blood flow (red grapes, watermelon, red meat). I also stayed VERY hydrated as I still do now while pregnant, and I avoided caffeine and alcohol.
I got pregnant for 3/4 of my transfers and did acupuncture with all of them as well.

The only thing she pushed was warm foods. Keeping the belly warm. So I try to eat mostly warm food. I make sure I eat enough veggies, particularly root veggies. Also green tea with honey daily.

Green tea (even when you drink it warm) is actually considered a "cold" tea by traditional standards.

Re: Acupuncture question
Ok that is what I have been doing, trying to drink everything at room temperature. i have made ginger tea with cinnamon and my acupuncturist told me to do warm salt packs, which i haven't tried yet, but will need to start doing. Thanks for the info!

I read this too. But she meant just warming the belly all the time. Embryos like warmth. Plus she said there was something in green tea that helps. I don't remember exactly lol. Too much to remember. I just do it

Acupuncture question
i took herbs for a month or so but i was taking so many meds i just didnt want to add another 6-9 pills a day so i stopped. my acu was fine with that. i really feel the acu helped bloodflow a lot which helped with my BFP and sticky bean who is now 2! i also did the warm womb thing but its not for everyone - some people run hot and need cooler things, others run cold (like me) and need warmer things. also red foods to promote bloodflow.

Re: Acupuncture question
I took the herbs until I started my IVF drugs. Once I started injections my IVF nurse and RE told me to stop them as they do not permit them with their tx.
