ADT alarm company rant
When we started with them we had a 3 year contract, when Sophia got diagnosed I was trying to cut back and they wouldnt let me out of my contract they would have charged me $600, so we stuck it out for the year I called a month and a half ago and asked them when my contract was up and they said June 1, I said I would like to cancel, they said your DH signed up so he has to call, so on June first he calls and they say, oh you didnt give us 30 days notice so we are charging you $50, I was so annoyed

call them back and tell them that according to NYS law auto renew contracts cann not be upheld unless that give you written notice of when the contract will be auto-renewing. So if your contract ended on June 1 then that when it should be over.
I worked in collections while I was in law school and dealt with these exact contracts all the time. DO NOT PAY IT......FM me if you need anymore help with it and I can even make a call for you.
