Re: Adults and Children with Celiac Disease
I would like to share my thought and my food issues with others. I am almost an expert on where to find anything decent to eat and I would like to share this information.

Re: Adults and Children with Celiac Disease
Whole foods is great for specific food needs... My friend who has celiac goes there. If you go to Customer Service they print out all the foods that are gluten and wheat free.

Fairway as well. They have a whole side of an aisle dedicated to gluten free foods.
It's also a great market for organic and ready to eat stuff that is healthy.

Jandi's in Oceanside is good they have a large selection. Has anyone tried Joan's bagels? They are delicious and she has great Sicilian pizza.

Re: Adults and Children with Celiac Disease
Those who have it, can I ask how you were diagnosed? What symptoms did you have?
Thanks.

Re: Adults and Children with Celiac Disease
Im a celiac!! gluten free diet has done wonders for me... they did a scope then confirmed with blood test (backwards b/c of what was goign on gastro wise for me; usually tis blood then scope) ive become an expert too at what to eat what not to eat... there have been a few voluntary slip ups.. none too bad but when i had one bad slip up (garlic bread ugggg ) the feelings i felt the night and next day reminded me to stick to my strict restrictions FM if you want recipes or pamphlets ive been doing tons of research in the past year

Re: Adults and Children with Celiac Disease
DH was recently diagnosed. I went to Trader Joes once to get him gluten free food but didnt do too well. He is doing much better but he doesnt gain any weight. Any websites that anyone can help me find would be great. I have three DC and i need to get them tested next, algthough they aren't showing any signs.
