AFP Test = Ultrascreen 2?
Is the Ultrascreen 2 (modified sequential screening) the same as the AFP test? I did the Ultrascreen 2 in addition to the Ultrascreen (sono and blood test)

No.
I had the Ultrascreen (sono and finger prick) done at 12 weeks and Madonna Perinatal. The AFP was done at 14 weeks in my doctors office.
eta - AFP test for me was just one vial of blood drawn.

Genetic testing. They look for the probability of having a child with Down Syndrome, Spinal Bifida, and other chromosomal abnormalities.

I did the Ultrascreen as well but when I went back they had me do the Ultrascreen 2. It required one vial of blood....I am not sure if it is the same as the AFP?
