After you accept an offer

How long is the whole process once you accept an offer from a buyer?

Re: After you accept an offer

It can be quick, depends on when the closing date is though.

Ours was about 4 weeks from contract to closing since we bought a foreclosure and the bank wanted to get rid of it fast.

Re: After you accept an offer

It depends on how quickly your attorney can get the contracts to the buyer's attorney and how long the buyer's take to sign the contract and if there is any further negotiation. Contracts typically have a 30-45 day mortgage contingency for the buyers. I would say it would take anywhere from 30-60 days after the contracts are signed.

Re: After you accept an offer

When we purchased it took a month. We were already pre-approved and ready to go. The engineer was at the house the next day, and contracts were signed that week.

When we sold.. we went into contract the first week of April..and we did not close until mid July Chat Icon She did not get approved for the mortgage until the end of June (then we had to wait for our co-op board to approve her.)
