Age appropriate toys for a 12 month old
With Xavier's bday and Christmas about a month apart, I have to go shopping soon. What toys/books/activity type items do you suggest for a 12 month old? Also an age appropriate CD player or radio?

For DS's first birthday he got:
Mega blocks table
A bunch of mega blocks
a toy fire truck
a radio flyer wagon
a play house for outside (or in actually- his b'day was in June so we used it outside)
Little people Noah's ark
Ride on Sesame Street toy
Ride on Fisher Price fire truck
Lots of people I know got
The Cozy Coupe too which is usually a big hit!

I need some ideas too!
Loey's birthday and Christmas are one week apart!
I want to get the little Pottery Barn chair for him... but I have no clue what else he needs! We don't really want to get outside toys now since he won't be able to use them (boooo NY weather!)

Any of the MegaBlocks things are great IMO!

Are the inflatable houses with balls in the middle are those any good? I predict a mess in my basement but they are cute at the same time. DS loves playing with balls so I know he would like it.

One of those wooden puzzles with the extra big pieces
a foofa stuffed doll (yo gabba gabba)
sensory balls
a little people take along birthday house
stacking cups
a disney princess set of 12 board books
a toy kitchen and fake food
a toy shopping cart
fisher price learning toy ( i think its a cow LOL)
a toy zylophone
