Air fryer
Does anyone have one of these? What do you make in it? Do you still need to use oil? What size and brand do you have? Does it just take up counter/cabinet space?
Sorry for the questions but I'm intrigued.

Re: Air fryer
I have one. So far the best thing that comes out are fries I put them in a bag with some oil and seasoning, shake them then dump them into the fryer. No other oil. I've made breaded cutlets, those come out nice and crunchy too.
I believe you shouldn't be putting oil in the fryer at all. That's the whole point of it.
It is large and does take up a lot of space.
I put a little foil in the bottom under the basket. Makes cleanup much easier.
I have a Philips one. Not sure which model. It was given to me.
ETA: It comes with some recipes too.

Re: Air fryer
I make everything in it. Steak, grilled cheese, fries, veggies, wings, ribs...
I do not use any oil. I spray the inside with non stick oil spray and that's it I have a small Philips which is ok for DH and I. I would like a bigger one. I keep it in my counter since I use it a lot.

Air fryer
My husband swears by it for wings. It is a time consuming process, but he loves them.

It's a whole process for him: first he cooks them and then he puts them through again with the coating.

I don’t have an air fryer, but you can simply flour them and leave them in the fridge for an hour and then fry them. The drying out will help and he can skip the step of frying the second time.
Baking powder might help, but I’m not sure, but I used to do that in the oven. I have a deep fat fryer as I need to put on some weight.

Re: Air fryer
I either cost them with fried chicken coating or I put salt pepper garlic and franks hot sauce. No need todo anything else. They're done 15-20 min tops. Super crispy and juicy inside.

Re: Air fryer
We just got one and so far for cooking purposes, we have only used it for fries and chicken. DH has used it to warm up food up and it works great. Better than the oven for chicken wings, he has put also mini bagels bites there, and I warmed up 2 pieces of rotisserie chicken and they came out with a nice crispy skin, taking only 8 minutes. I need to try recipes and lots of other stuff, though.
We got a Phillips and there's this app with lots of recipes. And yes, it takes room, but we keep in the counter because I wouldn't use it at all if I had to take it in and out.
