Is it safe to drink this if you are pregnant? I woke up with the beginning of a sore throat and I know I can't take any medicine.

Well now I am freaked out. I drank one tablet this morning after I saw the first response. I felt so sick. Now I am panicking! I won't drink any more. Do you think I hurt the baby?Chat Icon

Re: airborne

My dr said okay too - but I wouldn't take too much b/c it is vitamins and you don't want to overload on them since you are also taking a prenatal

Re: airborne

So early in pg- I would not take anything that hasn't been thoroughly studied. Airborne has not been studied for use in pg.

Re: airborne

I would just stick to plain vitamin c chewables or tablets.

That's the exact reason my doc said no.

She said although it claims to be "natural" it hasn't been studied.

Told me to stick with OJ and pre-natals, wash my hands after contact with others and before eating, get plenty of rest and that's all I reallly need.

Sorry you are feeling lousy. Chat Icon

Re: airborne-update

Aren't you really early in your PG? If so, DON'T worry about it- there's no exchange of blood/nutirnts until like 6 weeks.

Regardless, some doctor's apparently feel it's OK (you have the responses to prove that). I don't necessarily think airborne is HARMFUL- just not studied enough.

When in doubt- WAIT to ask your doctor from now on.

You should always ask your dr before taking/eating anything - as we often see on here every doctor is different - - I see it all the time - with debates over if you can eat cold cuts to tuna, and what you can take in medications - and with what you can wash your face with like proactiv..

I dont think such a small amount would hurt. While its not proven to be "safe", its also not proven to be unsafe. I'm sure you'll be fine!
