Airplane attire?
What do you usually wear on a long (8+ hour) flight?

Re: Airplane attire?
Something comfortable. Most likely i would wear a nice pair of sweatpants and nice sweatshirt. Not something you would wear to the gym.

Re: Airplane attire?
I'll go to the airport dressed nicely and then change into comfy pants on the flight. I'll then change back into my nice clothes once we land. I don't like arriving in a new country dressed sloppily.

Re: Airplane attire?
I typically wear loose linen pants, a tank top and a long sleeve t-shirt. It is comfortable but not sloppy.

If it is a long flight and an overnight flight, I usually wear a velour sweatsuit on the plane.

Re: Airplane attire?
Usually a pair of "travel" pants (Patagonia and North Face make good ones), a cotton top, and a sweater.

Re: Airplane attire?
I dont mind arriving in another country sloppy at all. I just had a 14 hour and 16 hour flight last week and wore sweats with a tshirt and a hoodie. (slippers on the plane, sneakers off the plane).
I have no need to impress the immigration officer and hotel check-in clerk.

Re: Airplane attire?
On an overnight flight to Germany I wore sweat pants, sneakers and a comfy sweatshirt, because I do sleep on the plane.
I had a connecting flight to Mexico (business, not vacation), so I wore khaki's and a t shirt on the plane with sneakers.

Re: Airplane attire?
my normal wear, I don't dress differently. I usually wear jeans and a shirt, usually birkenstocks so my feet don't swell too much

Sweatpants teashirt or thank top and either sneakers or flip flops. Comfort is key for me. I could care less what I look like when I take long flights!

Re: Airplane attire?
I have a pair of loose, thin khakis, or jeans and a t shirt and hoodie on the plane. I never dress nicely or change. I change when I get to the hotel.

Re: Airplane attire?
I usually wear a sweat suit. I bring an additional sweat suit in my carry on with a jeans outfit. I usually travel for 22 hours.
I heard if you dress nicely, it is easier to get bumped up to first or business class.

Re: Airplane attire?
I usually wear a velour suit. I wear sneakers and take them off on the plane. When traveling for business, unless i have a meeting right after i get off the plane, I will also wear that and then change in the bathroom at the airport.
I am a bad flier as it is so I have to make sure to be as comfie as possible.

Velour or terrycloth tracksuit
same here.
depending on where you sit on the plane - for our HM we were in the bulkhead which was extra roomy: great but very drafty: bad
so, i was thankful that i wore pants. then, i like to layer shirts -- a tank, a t-shirt, then the tracksuit jacket -- that way, if you are warm you can take off or cold and you can keep on. i also bring a wrap/pashmina/scarf thing -- i either wear it on my neck, wrap it around me, etc. socks and comfy nice sneakers and you are all set.
hth!

ill wear comfy jeans, flats and a snug t shirt with a sweater over it or maybe a blazer depending on how i feel
so neat but casual, but also decent to walk around if my hotel is not ready
