Re: alcohol at baby shower

We had a champagne punch at my shower. I don't think anyone missed the alcohol and if they wanted some, they could purchase it at the bar.

We had beer and wine included. Guests sipped a glass of wine here or there, but no one was crazy and nobody was drinking anything harder from the bar.

Why shoudl everyone else have to suffer because I can't booze it up?

I always say- the BEST baby shower I ever went to was one where they had an open bar.

Re: alcohol at baby shower

I don't think alcohol is included in the package, but there is a bar in the room so I'm assuming if someone really wanted a drink they could get something, but have to pay for it. We may add on a champagne punch so there is something.

Re: alcohol at baby shower

Well the place im having it at includes soda and wine in the package. I tried to ask the guy to take off the wine and make the package cheaper but he said he would still charge the same price, so I kept it.

Re: alcohol at baby shower

We are running a seperate tab for alcohol. My mom told the place to ask each table specifically what they wanted, telling them that it's open bar. So, I don't want people to not drink because I can't :( That would &$^$

We are having wine and beer.

I personally didn't want to have any alcohol but I did want my guest to enjoy themselves. It's a Jack & Jill shower so I know they guys wanted at least beer there.

I agree - let's face it, showers are usually pretty boring and people should at least be able to drink a little!

Re: alcohol at baby shower

We will be having wine.

Let's face it - baby showers along with bridal showers are boring after you've been to so many. Liquor is DEF a huge help to get through them... Chat Icon

Plus, my family is off the boat Italian - wine is like water to them. You MUST have wine with your meals Chat Icon

Re: alcohol at baby shower

It was like $10 extra pp for alcohol for my shower. I can pretty much guarantee my mom and MIL did not add that to the package.
