What a beautiful big girl room!! I started to tear up when I saw the pictures because it used to look like my DD's room...that is until she turned 7 and had to have Hannah Montana posters all over...

Yeah, that was certainly a challenge for DH and I. Last night, after we finished up, he said he hopes the next one is a boy because he doesn't think he can take anymore pink in the house

yeah, that was certainly a challenge for DH and I. Last night, after we finished up, he said he hopes the next one is a boy because he doesn't think he can take anymore pink in the house
Ha ha....I think my hours are numbered over here anyway as now she is 3 its all about pink and princesses so I may as well just give it up
GREAT job on the decorating - you really pulled it all together. I LOVE her costumes hanging up.

Yeah, Alex is obsessed with playing dressup, so instead of just letting all her princess dresses sit in a pile on the floor, I thought it would be nice to have them all hanging for her. Though I'm sure they will still somehow all end up on a pile on the floor
I bought the shades a while back, when it was still just a guest room, from pottery barn. A bit of a splurge, but really worth it - they are just as nice in person and we get a lot of compliments on them.
