Do they make a big difference if your hair is straight? Seems like a lot of people mentioned not needing a flat iron after so it seems like it's people with curls that are using them? Anyone with straight hair buy these? Does it make a difference?

I have straight hair and have one. IMO it makes a big difference! Besides the fact that it takes much less time for it to dry, my hair comes out much smoother and shinier - almost like you just got a blowout at a salon.

My first was a Super Solano that died this year (it was bout 6 years old). Then I bought a Rusk Speedfreak and it was awesome, but it blew out my outlet and is out for repair. In the meantime, I have a $40 Babyliss that I bought at Harmon and it's just as good as my others....so....if you want to try one and not spend a fortune I recommend babyliss!

I have the super Solano ($90) and I do see a difference in the way my hair dries, (I don't need my straighter as much) but it still takes me FOREVER to dry my hair, I have such thick hair I don't think any dryer will work--lol

I have pretty straight hair - I have a slight wave/frizz action going on. I started using the Elchin 2001 and my hair dries straigher, smoother and looks styled even though I dont really style it. Plus it dries my hair in about half the time.
