Allergy/cold help?

Hi Ladies,

Since last week I've been suffering big time with what I assume are my allergies. I can't breath, sleep, or stop coughing. My doctor said I could take something OTC but nothing seems to be helping at all. Does anyone have suggestions or know of an Rx that I could ask about?

Would truly appreciate any help!

Have you tried allegra?? It is now OTC and used to be prescription...I have heard its great. I am going to pick it up for my son now actually, he isn't responding to zyrtec or clariitn unfortunately. Hope you feel better!!

Re: Allergy/cold help?

If you would like some natural remedies try any of these. I find they help me with my allergies:

- Humidifier
- Netti Pot- Best thing EVER for allergies! Cleans EVERYTHING out of your nose!
- Saline Spray
- Water with Lemon

I've actually tried everything but the lemon water. The netti pot is usually my best friend but I'm so congested the water won't even pass through. I've taken three steamy showers every day since Thursday and still no good. I tried childrens allegra since that somehow sounded safer to me, then benedryl which I was told is safe and no change with either. I'm at my wits end. Thanks for trying ladies!!!

Sorry you're feeling so lousy. I went through the same thing last week. Vicks Vapo-rub helped me a lot, and drinking teas or having soups and breathing in the steam. I had alot of OJ and oranges too. Feel better!
