Am I a horrible wife?
I feel really bad... DH is in a softball league for work and they usually play once a week but lately his games have been rained out.. anwyay tomorrow he has a game in the Bronx (we live on LI) and he won't be home until about 10:30pm at the earliest (depending on the subwayy/LIRR schedules).
I'm 35 weeks tomorrow with twins and went to the Dr today where they said they doubt that I will make it to 38 weeks and I've already been hospitalized for early labor and I'm still taking meds for contractions. The last 3 days I've been feeling super crampy and lots of pressure so I was saying I wish he wouldn't go to the game.. he said he wouldn't if I didn't want him to.. it's just that if anything happens.. he doesn't have his phone on his body during the game and as soon as he answers it he would still take awhile to get back to me..
Sorry so long.. thanks for your advice

Re: Am I a horrible wife?
Can you make a game-day decision about it? If you're feeling ok at the time he's ready to go, let him go? It's going to be so, so hard for him to get out of the house ever once the babies are born. I know you're sad and want him near you just in case, but he will appreciate it so much if you let him go.

I feel like you're right.. I will tell him to bring his stuff with him and he can decide right before.. plus maybe he can check his phone in between innings or something? I don't want to keep him trapped home just because I am.. I'm just so nervous that if something happens it will take him hours to get home.

The last thing he wants is to NOT be there for you. Don't feel guilty

I was going to suggest all of this. Plus, can't someone on the team that is still on the bench watch his phone for him while he is playing? I too will want DH home with me at the end, but I do know neither one of us will be able to get out of here after the boys are here. Hope you are feeling well.

Not a horrible wife. He should stay home, period. After 30 weeks Dh is not allowed anywhere without his cell. I told him, I don't care if you are on the 19th floor of a burning building, making a rescue, you hear that phone you better DROP whatever you are doing I kid I joke (not really)

Re: Am I a horrible wife?
not at all.. play it by ear on saturday.. see how you feel.. but you shouldn't feel guilty at all for asking DH to stay back. If he was there, I doubt he'd be able to concentrate on the game, knowing his preggo wife is at home, and could possibly need him..

Your twins were born an hour and 1/2 apart? Were your babies both head down during the last few weeks?

Re: Am I a horrible wife?
Both were head down at 30 weeks and stayed that way. YES, one and half hours apart!! I didnt labor very long at all and baby A came out maybe after 1 hour of active pushing. I knew I had it in me to continue pushing withBabyB- I had to get my head in the game after Baby A cam out I was all out of sorts, but I kept pushing and she finally came out- believe, its not common at all for a large time lapse! But there was no sign of the babies being in distress, so I took my time and kept pushing.

Re: Am I a horrible wife?
I would tell him he can go if he really wants but you would kind of like if he was around just in case. So he can make his own decision & feel guilty if you go into labor while he's having fun oh & the best part, he'll have to do everything you say because of the guilt of leaving you

I'm 35 weeks and Baby A has been head down for the past 8 weeks or so.. but Baby B was always transverse.. yesterday they said that Baby B is head down.. but I'm hoping that she stays that way b/c I would love to avoid a c-section!!! Were your babies mono-chorionic? Thanks so much for all of your answers by the way!
