We have one because we have a 2 floor house and it's very convenient for naps. I have it in my dining room.

get the arm's reach mini cosleeper instead. its much smaller and has wheels on two legs so you can easily move it from room to room.

If you travel a lot, I would get it. But if you're not the traveling kind...and space is limited, I don't think it's essential.
