Am I the ONLY neurotic toddler mommy......
That checks to make sure dc is breathing when I go into the nursery to check on her. I cannot help myself, I always have to get in real close to see if her chest is moving in and out

Re: Am I the ONLY neurotic toddler mommy......
I'm not a toddler mommy but I just got out of the bedroom from checking on Rylan. I always look at his back and put my hand to his nose and mouth to feel for hot air.

Re: Am I the ONLY neurotic toddler mommy......
I use to when he was a baby, I think I stopped at about 7 months old.
If I wake durign the night, I have to go in an peek on him. I also have a video monitor so I think that makes me feel better cause I can see him all the time.

Re: Am I the ONLY neurotic toddler mommy......
I used to when she was an infant, all the time. Now, after she is asleep, I'm afraid to wake her by going in her room, so my theory is as long as she is quite (and I can see her in the monitor), all is good

Re: Am I the ONLY neurotic toddler mommy......
My son is 27 months and I still use a video monitor. DH asks why and I can't even articulate WHAT it is I'm monitoring, lol. I just feel like if I don't use it, something terrible will happen and I won't know
I don't go in and check breathing every night. Usually after putting DS to bed I hear enough rustling around on the monitor that I know he's rolled and changed position a few times. But if the monitor seems completely silent and he hasn't moved, I HAVE to go in and get real close to check breathing.
Yeah, I'm totally nuts.
