Am I the only one who has not thought ONE BIT about lesson plans for September?
Seriously. Not one thought has crossed my mind, well, maybe this was the one thought.
I'm too focused on being pregnant and planning stuff for when the baby comes, and my mind has NOT been focused on teaching in the LEAST!
Am I totally screwing myself for September? And, the question really is... do I care? lol... 
Can anyone else relate?

ha, I am right there with you!!!!!
Except that my kids come back on 8/25, and my first workday is 8/18! 
I didn't have a very restful summer, so I'm mentally not prepared to go back.

Haven't done a thing- which is unusual for me. You have a great excuse, though. I have been told that once you get pregnant your priorities totally shift, in a healthy way- as a lot of us teachers are WAY to focused on our jobs!

I haven't done a thing either! We usually don't get our final teaching assignments until right before anyway.

I don't do any of them until the day before we go back. I'm not a person who can plan far ahead at all. I'm always just a day or two ahead.
I have 3 huge stacks of papers that are starting me in the face of worksheets, etc. that I really need to go through & organize though but I just can't bring myself to do it.

I'm w/you Theresa. I haven't thought about lesson plans for Sept at all. The worst part is that they have changed my grade (I was 3rd for the past 2 yrs. and now I'll be teaching 4th).
I've been too busy this summer focusing on my pregnancy as well (waiting for the good results on my amnio).
And now w/teacher's choice only being $150 I'm even more unmotivated. Well, we still have a couple more weeks...

not at all, I am going to be the Literacy Coach, and I should be reading the whole TC manual...haven't opened it since June
But I don't have to worry about lesson plans

my lessons are written, all worksheets and tests copied and planbook filled out until the end of october! room is set up with the calendar ready to go!
i do that every year during the last 2 weeks of june...makes life SO much easier!

I am trying to plan to teach a new book. But only because I am teaching summer school and trying to get it done before SS is over because then I am away for the rest of the summer.

I can't and refuse to think about it until the end of August. I can't plan in advance I plan a few days at a time in case I change my mind/plans. I like to freshen things up every year.
It blows my mind that it is August already. Never mind school but where is 2008 going??? Time seems to fly by too quickly...

Not a thought in my mind until this post, lol! But I have been thinking about how i'll rearrange the furniture in my classroom, lol! I teach Kindergarten so the first few weeks are a lot of getting to know you/easy stuff!

I did a bunch of work in June to prepare - and I haven't thought about it since!
I did spend about 15-20 minutes creating my summer school plans though
