Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
i STRONGLY dislike being pregnant at this point. i may feel a little less strongly once i start to feel the baby moving, but that's the only positive thing i can think of about this process until he or she actually comes out! i think it's natural to have at least some negative feelings about being pregnant - it has nothing to do with how much you want and love your baby!

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
You're not alone. I go back and forth between loving being pregnant and just wanting him to be here already. As much as DH tells me he thinks I'm beautiful, I don't believe it. I feel guilty for feeling that way sometimes but I don't see it as a reflection on what kind of mom I'll be. I just see it as being realistic and dealing with all of the emotional changes we go through when pregnant.

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
You are not alone!!!! I have really found very few things to like about being pregnant. My MIL continues to make me feel guilty about how much I have disliked it, but it really isn't a great experience for every woman. I am sure that when I meet my son it will all seem worth it, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

I understand exactly how you feel. I don't enjoy being pg at all. I really wanted 3 kids but at this point 2 pregnancies is enough for me. The thought of going through all this nausea a 3rd time really has me

Amen-I think my doctor would retire as soon as I was pregnant with a third

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
its funny b/c my sister had one of the easiers pregnancies ever and everyone asked her if she loved it and she said "NO"
As for me, its early still, 11 weeks and i really havent' noticed any changes yet. But I can see where you are coming from. Not every woman is going to love being PG.

I'm not loving it either. I'm about 26 weeks and my stomach always feels bloated...constantly.

You're not alone at all. I'm only 15 weeks and I almost instantly didnt like being pregnant. I havent been having a tough pregnancy either but I guess I just don't feel like my body is all mine anymore. I know it will be worth it in the end though.

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
Don't feel bad at all - I am having a rough time between contractions when walking and possible issues with the baby I often question if I enjoy being pregnant. Today is my last day of work before going on semi bedrest (only allowed an occasional errand but should remain 90% on rest).
Honestly I LOVE feeling the baby kick and move and love watching my stomach move those are the things I truely enjoy about being pregnant.
But I think it pretty much ends there. Honestly I think it is hard for anyone who is uncomfortable, getting little sleep b.c they are getting up to go to the bathroom all night, every expanding to love any of those things.

I personally did not love my first pregnancy and I'm not loving my second. NO guilt. I love my babies very much, but wouldn't mind a stork dropping them off.

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
I went through a 6-week period where I was tied to the toilet because of IBS issues. I didn't think I would make it through. Thankfully it seems to have cleared up and am finally enjoying this part of pregnancy (mid 2nd trimester) ... who knows that the 3rd trimester will bring though!

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
I didn't love being pregnant either. Granted, I had a little bit of a tough pregnancy due to high blood pressure. I had twice as many ob appts, regular dr appts and lots of trips to the hospital for growth scans and bio fetal physicals, so it was exhausting to do that and work full time until the week before giving birth. Believe me, in the end, completely worth it when I look at Taylor every day I am so thankful for her, I dont want to be pregnant again, but it was worth it!

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
I have mixed feelings....I love feeling her in my tummy but I don't like the extra weight I gained. I feel fat and very unattractive. I think she is taking all my beauty away from me.

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
i dont usually visit this board any more since having my baby- but saw your post & wanted to tell you not to feel guilty- You being thankful about being blessed with pregnancy goes without saying... you are entitled to feel this way, i remember feeling So unattractive that i didnt want to leave my house anymore. I would look at myself and just get completely discusted-I couldnt believe how large my body had become,my skin & hair were gross& unmanageable and my body was doing weird things beyond my control! I hated everyone that told me how much they enjoyed their pregnancy! By 30 weeks i decided that i was "DONE"! I just didnt want anyone to see me anymore, i had no energy to do anything-i was fat miserable&hormonal, I just wanted my baby OUT of me!! yea i was a real pleasure for my DH to come home to!lol But then you have your little bundle of joy and you will eventually fit back into your sexy clothes, be able to go out w/the girls again, your DH will prob lust after you even more, because now youre considered a "MILF" lol!!!
I look back now and really regret not enjoying the whole "pregnancy experience" more... I now realize that it was such a short period of time in my life, and it is possible I may never experience being pregnant ever again ( i already have 2 kids!) I was too busy wanting to rush thru it & get it over with to realize what a truley special time in my life it was. I think now if I did become Pg again, I will have a whole different way of looking at it(or maybe not!) lol!try to enjoy it as much as possible-you will totally be back to your old self before you know it!!! Good Luck!!

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
Honestly...Its very hard for me to admit. After all I did to get pg...2 years of trying, fertility treatments, IUI and $10K plus for IVF...I thought I would be happy and never look back no matter how bad the PG was.
Then it got bad, then it got worse and worse and while I whole heartedly believe it can ALWAYS be worse then it is. At this point, I do not know if I would have the strength to go through pregnancy again.
I wanted a HUGE family...5 kids at least was what I wanted, but I kept losing the babies...Now I feel blessed and truly grateful for what I have been given, BUT the pain has taken such a toll on my life, my job, my relationships, that I find myself severly depressed even on occasion that this all happened , when I am suppossed to feel BLESSED.
So your not alone, even those of us who struggle to get PG, who are unbelievably lucky and feel and know it, have moments where it just is awful and Not fun and feel guilt.

Re: Am I the only one who is really not loving pregnancy?
Apparently I am not happy about it either. Mostly I am not happy about my body changing and worrying about losing the weight. I am a neurotic, so that may be affecting me as well.
