it just means nothing to me.
maybe cuz i dont have to worry about driving and such, i dunno, but i could care less.
its not stopping me from leaving teh house.

I'm the same way. Maybe after going to college in Buffalo snow doesn't faze me as much. I always laugh at how panicked everyone gets.

No, we're not "preparing" for the snow. We did go food shopping, but that's what we normally do on Saturday mornings. I'm going out in a little bit. If the roads do get nasty later, at least I know I got out for a little today.

I am not doing anything. It is only going to snow for a few hours, not for the whole week. I dont think I need to stock up on food for 1 day of snow!

I just moved my car into my driveway to get it off the street and I dug my snow shovel out of the garage other than that nothing special going on here.

Same here since I went to school in Rochester....people are so funny down here!!!! I am going to the store in a little bit but only because I need milk and juice. I just got off the phone with my dad and I told him I am scared to go to the store - there are going to be people fighting over the last can of corn!

Yeah, I have no food or "non-perishables" but somehow I think I'll be OK...after all, I'm not made of paper and the supermarket is across the street.

I'm not preparing at all. We were at the supermarket today b/c we planned on going, not b/c of the storm, and it was ridiculous how many people were stocking up on stuff! I'm looking forward to being stuck in the house tomorrow so that i can get some work done.
Ooooh..i just looked out the window and it seems like the snow just started falling!

We went to the supermarket but we do that every weekend. Only difference was that I bought some junk food! And, DH checked on the snow blower.

Just bought more munchies than normal, and DH moved his car into the driveway so they can plow.
He is from Buffalo and always get a kick out of how LI'ers panic over snow!!!

Are you crazy??? Do you mean you didn't run to supermarket and battle all the old ladies to stock up on bread, milk, and eggs?? Cause you know those are first things to go in a snowstorm. There may never be eggs again! Omg...and what about WATER??? You didn't bum rush the water aisle? Hey, I knocked over at LEAST two little old ladies to get my water. Sorry. Survival of the fittest. Don't you know that water will END when the snow comes?
What is wrong with you woman!!!!!

the only way we really prepped was by getting a few movies
and we went food shopping this morning, instead of tomorrow when we usually go - but since our parking lot won't get plowed, we actually probably won't get out until monday or tuesday.

GREAT idea!! There's a really old couple across the street, I can definitely fight them off....especially if I knock out his walker.... to THINK we usually shovel their walks FOR them... ha! What were we thinking!!!

thought about buying some batteries because even the slightest breeze seems to make our power go out..but we were too lazy to stop at a store, so figured, Nah we will live on the edge a little

what about frozen corn? i stopped buying canned veggies after an incident involving canned green beans a few months ago.
ps... all the corn talk has me rolling over hear... one of my coworkers students has a corn obsession and shouts CORRRRRRRRRRN in the middle of class
