amazon prime

I am about to order something on amazon and they are offering a free month of amazon prime. I am tempted to use it as the item I want to order I need by this weekend and by using the free offer I dont have to pay for fast shipping. I am planning to accept the free trial and cancel after my package arrived but I am worry that they have some type of hidden fee for not subscribing. Anyone done this? any experience?

I've done the same. Just don't forget to cancel it b/c they automatically renew it after the month! No hidden fees or anything. I did it acouple of years ago when I needed s/t for DS's 1st b-day. No problems, just cancelled it at the end of the 1 month trial. Iwrote it on my calendar so I wouldn't forget!

No hidden fees. I used a free three month trial for Amazon Prime and forgot to cancel after the 3rd month. They said as long as I didn't purchase anything after the third month they would credit me back, which they did.

Same here. I split the membership with a couple of people so I only paid $17 for the year. Between the good prices, variety and free shopping, I shop from Amazon all the time. It was a huge money saver at Christmas time.

No hidden fees! I have Amazon Prime free for a year, and I'm absolutely planning on buying it when it runs out. I order from Amazon weekly, so it is absolutely worth it for me.

Me, too!

I actually find that it's cheaper for me in the long run because prior to membership, I would order extra "stuff" that I didn't really need, just to get free shipping at $25 and now I don't do so and it gets delivered faster!

Same here! Best thing ever if you shop Amazon often. You cant beat free 2 day shipping. We have ordered very large items and more than made up for the annual membership fee.

I also wanted to add that prime combined with some of their subscription products are really great deals since you get 15% off.

For instance, I get cases of fancy feast cat food delivered to the house for $3-5 less then buying at the store but I don't have to go to the store. I think they sell k-cups, personal items, lots of things you use regularly. You can change the shipping frequency or cancel at any time so you are not locked into any time frame.
