I finally watched the entire episode and Gary...  for not hitting her back. He was the bigger person (no pun intended) in this situation and really took the higher road.
She does not deserve custody of that child, MAYBE supervised visitation, but is she going to do that to Leah, when she's older and get's a mouth on her?

ITA with everyone. Amber is extremely unstable and unfit. I think she has either anxiety, depression, or bi-polar disorder. She is clearly dillusional because she truly believes that she is a good mother, yet half the time she doesn't want to be bothered with Leah and leaves her in the crib "napping".
I also agree that had the roles been reversed, and Gary was hitting Amber, the cops would have been called immediately. That double standard makes me so angry.
Hopefully the courts will step in and get that poor child into a stable home and get Amber into therapy.

That's literally what I said to DH when it came on.
Did you notice that now everytime they show Amber they show Domestic Abuse hotline information now...?????

That's what I fear. She gets so fed up with her now and she's not even 2 yet. I can easily see her whacking her when she's older.

I just watched the episode last night. Holy crap!!! She freakin nailed him in the face like four times. And than kicked him in the back.
She needs to get her arse kicked AND go to anger management. Good for Gary not hitting her back...he didnt even grab her. God forbid he even grabbed her arm to stop her from hitting him people would have been up in arms 
The episode should have ended with her in the back of a police car.

she's a dumb biitch! glad something it finally happening!
I agree and think it's in the child's best interest if CPS DOES step in. If she has such an out of control temper, imagine what she'll eventually unleash on the poor baby? Intervention should have happened LONG before this incident. This little one should not be growing up in such dysfunction.

I hope Gary gets custody of this little girl and they arrest her @ss for being abusive. It is not fair for a man to have to be beat like that just as it is wrong for a woman to be beat by a man!! Its been going on too long and even ONCE it TOO MANY!!
