American Girl Dolls - dumb question!!
So I ordered an AG doll for my 6 year old and I just opened the box ( her birthday is tomorrow) and the doll's color is a little too tan....I ordered medium skin as my DD has brown eyes and I figured it would be better than lily white...BUT it really doesn't look like her skin color at all.
Does it matter?
This is NOT a color of your skin debate - DD has a whole slew of dolls and they are all different colors BUT if this AG is supposed to look like her and it does not should I change it for a light skinned doll?
She probably wont notice now but in a couple of years she probably will...Its just they are so expensive to begin with I want ti to be perfect = I know larger things to worry about in world etc but here is my little "large" issue for today.
Thanks

my niece and nephew's doll is considerably darker than their skin tone. I think its as close as your going to get.

Re: American Girl Dolls - dumb question!!
Thanks..I called AG and they said the light skin dolls are meant for caucasian girls, the medium for latin america and the dark skinned for african american - this is only if your child is trying to choose a doll to look like them....so I guess I should have gotten the light skinned one...such a donut.
