The funniest thing was TMZ had shown a picture of David A's dad in the audience with the writing under him...
"Lose this, don't come home".
DH and I were laughing our butts off saying this when David A lost and they showed his family.
So glad he lost, I thought he was just horrible!!!!

DC winning this show was vindication for a few contestants that should have won and were treated badly.
DC is the man!!! I am so excited he won. HE is sooo deserving.

Yay for David Cook!!!! I honestly think that him winning finally gave AI justice for all the winners in the past, that just should not have!!!!
DH & I had a feeling Cook was the winner though bc his face was EVERYWHERE last night on the commericals & then even in the show, they kept going to him in the camera & not David A...

This is the FIRST time I have been TRULY happy about the winner. Okay, yeah I was happy about Kelly but it was so obvious she would win. Other than that, I was just bitter about the ones that got away.
This is the YEAR, finally!!!

Listening to PLJ there are already conspiracy theories. That the producers didn't want David A to win because of his Dad....and that Simon knew David C won because of his apology....
David C won it and deserved it!! And that's due to people like us who were DETERMINED to let the right guy win it this time!
What a huge margin too! I never would have expected that!!

I am so pysched DC won!!!!!!!! I can't wait to hear his album!
I loved how he wanted to share his last moment on the AI stage with all the previous contestants....and how he kept putting his arm around Archuletta as if he's his big brother
He is such a genuinely sweet guy, I hope the business he got himself into doesn't change that!

I was so prepared for them to announce DA that I almost fell off the couch when they said David Cook!
It was very classy of him to stand w/the top 12 and have his arm around DA when he sang.
I never had an interest in seeing the top 12 in concert but I think I might have to get tickets to this one...and just put ear plugs in when Amanda has to sing 
eta: my DH thought I was nuts because I sat there for about an hour dialing in to vote for DC. I kept getting thru on 5703 and I was convinced he was going to lose. I guess my votes counted
