amoxicillin when pregnant?
Has anyone ever taken amoxicillin or a z-pac while pregnant? ive been terribly sick for a week now with chest congestions, sinus infection, coughing non stop, have no voice, horrendous sore throat ..everything u name it. I feel like im never going to get better and I cant stand being like this every day. i know that some docs will prescribe a z-pac and i really feel that will help me get better but i am nervous to take any kind of meds even when they say its ok. Im 13w. TIA

Tell them you are pregnant and they will give the proper meds. Im on abx for uti which is obviously ok while pregnant. Its not zpac, but they may be able to give that or something else.

amoxicillin when pregnant?
I just took the zpac last week for an upper respiratory infection and double ear infection! I was 17 weeks when I took it! I think they wanted to give me amoxicillin but I'm allergic. I just called my Ob to double check and she said zpac is totally safe when pregnant! Def did the trick and fast! It's actually worse to be so sick when pregnant so def take the antibiotics so you get better quick! Oh and Tylenol helped with the pain and halls cough drops helped for the sore throat and coughing! Feel better!!

amoxicillin when pregnant?
Med safety varies by Trimester. I know for a fact Amoxicillin is safe in your third trimester. Tell your GP your pregnant, but call your OB before filling any prescriptions. Even if you can't get your OB right away the nurses in his office should have a list.

I took the z pack when I was pregnant with my first DD I believe I was around 15 weeks or so.

I took penicillin and a z-pack while pregnant w/ my first while in the 1st tri. No problems.

I took both this pregnancy. I was sick on and off for 8 weeks with a sinus infection. It took 3 rounds of antibiotics to kick it, each time using a stronger antibiotic, ending with the z-pack with finally did it.
