Andddd there goes my good luck. Someone hit my parked car.

Someone sideswiped my PARKED car in the middle of the night...mirror is hanging, door is all scratched and dented.

I only got in from at wedding at midnight and it was FINE....UGH!

Cop just left - he said unfortunately, I just have to suck it up and pay for it.

This happened to me when I lived in LB. I had just moved and hadn't changed the registration yet... so the police called my parents house in the middle of the night (2am) looking for me. My mom said "What do you mean you're looking for my daughter?" and the cop said "Her car was in an accident."

My mother nearly had a heart attack until they explained.

So what does my mom do? Calls me at 2am. Do you know what it feels like to see your parents' number on caller ID at 2am? You're expecting the worst... My mother, learning nothing from what the cops said to her, says to me without saying hello, "Kara, did the police call you?"

I think my heart stopped beating for a whole 10 minutes from that.

Needless to say, the damage wasn't too bad, but what a scare. They luckily caught the guy who did it and I got the $ for all the repairs.

I hope it isn't too expensive to fix the damage on your car! I'm so sorry it happened to you!

Of course, no one saw anything.

All I know is that it was a white car (very noticeable on my BLACK car).

I know how you feel, in july mine got hit but really damaged and the lady took off... I called the police and i told my DH to check the neighborhood b/c people who run always stop and check out there cars, He found her around the block with three cop cars surrounding her... She hit my car and another car around the block.... it took weeks to track down her info, b/c police took wrong info (her brother is a cop) so i think they fudged the report b/c when i said i wanted her arrested they were shocked.. She took off!! and though it was 3 am, there still are kids on the this block, what if she hit one of them??? well my car was ended up being demolished and now were fighting for her to pay for the rental car payment. People suck...

nikki -same thing happened to me. a few years ago, i never got it fixed b/c it would have cost me $$. and that just pizzed me off.

Drive around the blocks around you and see if you can find a white car with damage

That happened to me two years ago. It $ucks and there's nothing you can do about it I had just changed my insurance and, as per my father's advice, I switched my deductible to $1,000 to save myself money. So I was out $1,000, because some jerk hit my car while it was parked.

I'm sorry you have to deal with this
