Ugh, that is awful. I'm sorry...people are rotten. This happened to a friend of mine in the city; a good Sam actually saw it happen and left a note on my friend's windshield with the plate info.
I'm sorry!!!!!!!

I just got 2 estimates....THAT STUPID LITTLE SCRATCH/DENT and the mirror = $2,000 IN DAMAGE!!!
Guess I'm going through the insurance.

That really sucks, so sorry. We had both our parked cars damaged about 6 weeks ago when someone crashed into them - while they were parking in our driveway!

can you go to a junk yard/scrap place to get a new mirror? this is what dh did when my mirror was knocked off. i think it was about $50, maybe less, but definitely not more.
