Anemia or allergies in babies - does it exist?

It seems like Paige is always tired. She is 8 1/2 months old and is still pretty cranky. She gets really cranky when she is tired, which seems to be all the time. She gets 10-11 hours a sleep at night so she is getting enough sleep. Her naps arent always the best. Its hit or miss. But she is constantly rubbing her eyes, nose and playing with her ear. All of which i think are tired signs.

Are there anyone elses DC that seems always tired? Should I be concerned? Do babies get anemia? Do you think the rubbing could be allergies? Sorry for so many questions.

I just feel like she should be getting happier but instead sometimes she is a nightmare.

If she has allergies she could be tired from not sleeping well at night - even though she is sleeping for 11 hours or so.
Is she stuffy sounding? Have you had your ped check out her ears for fluid or infection?
It could also just be that she is tired and those are her signs. My DD scratches behind her ears when she is tired.

With my DD (who has enviornmental and food allergies + asthma) - she is always congested sounding... she always had an ear infection and fluid in her ears.

I don't know anything about anemia... but if your really concerned mention it to your ped.

She really isnt congested. She was last month, but the doc. said it was from teething. He checked everything out last month to see it was a cold.

If she isn't napping well then I would think that all the rubbing and pulling at her ears are her tired signs.
