AngelCare monitor..
I asked for this for xmas....
Who has one??? Can you give me some info...
This detects the movement?????? If he stopped breathing, or he was taken out of the crib...????- an alaram goes off?
Can he still use a positioner??? Does the alarm go off falsely often??
TIA

Re: AngelCare monitor..
I have one. I love it - it helps me sleep better at night.
Although I have to admit - I have to play with it a little - it seems to go off every night - I run in her room like a looney and she is laying there - sleeping - breathing - just fine.
In general though - it just helps me sleep better at night.

I have it an love it. It detects any motion. If there is no movement for 20 secs I think an alarm goes of. Yes you can use the positioner. Ours has gone off 3 times in almost 8 months and it was when Connor first started to move around the crib. he would get to far off in a corner and the senor couldn't detect him.

We have one too and also love it. It just gives you some extra peace of mind. If no movement is detected (because he's not breathing or has been removed from the crib, climbed out of the crib, etc) the alarm will sound. You can use the positioner with it. Sometimes it's difficult to tell if it was a false alarm.
When Jesse was younger, the alarm went off and was still going off when we got in the room. We immediately roused him. It's gone off several times since then, but when he hears the alarm he must move because the alarm stops. So, it's good that it not only alerts you but the baby too.
I don't mind the false alarms - rather check him and find out he's fine than not have it and have something happen to him. Better safe than sorry.

Same here. Only three false alarms in 8 months. I LOVE it. I do not think it is over kill as many people think. It is by far my best baby purchase. The peace of mind it gives me is worth a million bucks.

Re: AngelCare monitor..
When you had these false alarms....did you have a heart attack...and were you able to be calm and remember it could be..."just a false alarm"
Im so scared when and if we ever have a false alarm....my heart is just gonna stop!

Re: AngelCare monitor..
The first time I had a false alarm I think I ran into the wall. I was half sleeping and running at the same time. I could barely see. But when I got to Grace she was right up against the bumper in the corner of the crib. So although it was a false alarm I was happy that it went off so I could move her away from the bumper. False alarms are scary but not having the monitor on is scarier, for me at least. You willl sleep much sounder!
