I don't agree with many of her points and the way she makes them but at least you know when she comes on, it will be a little interesting television - sometimes it gets a little boring with all of the same viewpoints.

I can't bear to watch this show, and the episode with Ann is a prime example. If you do not go along with the views of Joy, and Whoopi, and the other one (don't even know her name), they talk over you and don't even let you get your point across. I was rooting for Ann and she made some really good points.. I was  and at the same time!

I disagree with everything Ann Coulter believes, but she never got to finish a sentence without people jumping all over her. When she *did* finish her sentence, there was plenty that could be attacked on it. But the women of the View were really like a pack of wolves not letting her finish her sentence.
If they had- there were plenty of flaws in Coulter's reasoning that could have been pointed out. But she didn't get a chance.
And I never thought I'd say this but Hasselbeck actually made a good point. Why don't people focus on the deadbeat dads, and not the single moms. I don't know too many single moms that are single by choice. Leaving an unhealthy relationship does not make someone single by choice.
The two women I know who had children on their own by choice, are wealthy enough to support them in a nice lifestyle in Manhattan- and one of them did get married after her child was born. I have a feeling that's not who Ann Coulter is talking about in her book.

I hate the view..I dont love Ann Coulter either but she makes some interesting points.
Her point is that society has now glorified the single motherhood and it is socially acceptable. What she is trying to point out is that kids have a better shot in a 2 parent household. Statiistics show that kids need their fathers.
I didnt see the whole clip but she was on O'reilly last nite and i caught pieces of it. Granted, she can go about her point in not such a brass way.
When Obama was on the View..they all sweated him and practically drooled all over him and barbara was gushing that he was sexy... John McCain comes on and i dont think most of them could even look him in the eye. Unreal.
If you dont agree with their "view" then you dont really get a word in..

Wait i apologize in advance but HOW can anyone say Ann's POV is unique or "interesting"? The whole IDEA brought me back to 1983 when "Murphy Brown" - both the show and the title actress Candice Bergen - were attacked by the religious right for glamorizing single motherhood. So really Ann's whole book is rehashing a tired old point of view. And her "research" is sloppy at best. Her pivotal point - "Victim of a crime? Blame a single mother", is certainly going to get peoples' backs up, and I don't think Ann thought the "View" hosts or demographic audience were going to embrace the theory or the lady.... Hmm does this mean Bristol Palin's baby is going to be a drug addicted impoverished thieving young man by 18? I think not.
A 5 to 1 interview is NEVER going to be a good idea frankly, if Ann really wanted to speak to her point she would've and could've requested a one on one sit down with any of them for the sake of clarity and intelligent conversation. Not that the "View" is a source of either for me personally,but there you have it.

Hate the View, and I used to love it. I didn't see the whole interview, but snippets. Honestly, its a PR stunt on both sides.
Overall, IMO, they *think* they are journalists, but they are not. They *think* they are entertaining, they are not.
They are so one-sided, its ridiculous -- and they are rich women working for an hour a day. Not a fan, at all.

I agree. I loved the show when it was Meredith Viera (journalist), Star Jones (ADA- before she became a "celebutard"), Lisa Ling (young AND intelligent) and Joy Behar.
Now its Whoppi (comedian), Sherri Shepard, (Comedian), Joy Behar (comedian) and Elizabeth (reality TV star). There isn't anyone of the 4 with any journalistic or intellectual base anymore.

In today's media outlet, her viewpoint is definitely different from what you typically hear out there. Also, do you really think Ann has any say as to how the View is going to conduct the interview. They probably said all the women are going to be there for the interview - the producers of the View are the morons - they made the choice to conduct the interview in that totally chaotic fashion.
