Don't even bother going back and forth. Do you know who left it for you?

I know. I would never actually leave a note like that because that's like asking for someone to empty the air out of your tires or something. Just being

Re: Annoying? You decide!

Since I live in Queens and parking here bites, I would consider moving it, if I thought the landlord wouldn't hit me backing out of the DW.

I would park closer to the driveway -- based on the picture there's plenty of clearance.

I agree, I think I would be taken aback by getting the letter, but I dont think its anything to get upset about. YOu have room to back up, it will make it easier for a third car to fit AND that middle car, wont have to bump the cr*p out of your front to get in the spot.

My friend got a note like that once, but it was written up to look like a fake summons! Chat Icon

And the reason he didn't park the way the note writer wanted was beacuse there was a truck in the way when he got there. He was so ******. Heck, I was even ****** for him.

Re: Annoying? You decide!

I would move it only if I knew I was purposely taking two spots. I would not move it if I knew the car in front of me would be too tight.

Re: Annoying? You decide!

After looking at the pictures, I would move the car back towards the driveway a bit. You will still leave enough clearance for the landlord to get in & out of the driveway & also allow for another car in the front of you. With the way it is now, I would not want a car or SUV trying to squeeze in & hit the car...

Re: Annoying? You decide!

Before I moved to Queens I would have said "Eff them" and not moved. Now that I live there and know what it's like, I would have backed it up a little.

clearly, a car could fit there. and when we parked yesterday, there was a car in front of our car

Being from Bklyn and living on a block where my neighbors DO NOT know how to park and take up two spots - I understand there was a car in front of you last night - but I would've been p.oed if I saw your car like that - I would've moved it back.

Ditto. FYI - my husband doesn't give a cr@p about his car and he will jam his car into that spot b/c parking is so hard in our 'hood.

Re: Annoying? You decide!

I would move it. When I first moved to brooklyn I couldn't believe what people could do with parking spots, but they do.

I always try to find a spot close to a driveway and park as close as possible so noone gets mad.

Re: Annoying? You decide!

I would move it just to keep in good relations with your neighbors...whoever wrote it probably has a lot of time on their hands.

This happened to me and DH one time. We had a party one night and some friends came over. We live in LI so the parking is quite easy compared to queens or brooklyn. Well my friend parked in front of my neighbors house and was there a whole 4-5 hours....she goes to go home that night and their is a letter on her car saying that maybe "you should not park in front of a house that is not yours for so long". I was like Chat Icon To this day we have no idea who would do that.....I doubt it was the actual person who's house it was since they were always so nice to us, but who knows. We just laughed it off and then parked in front of their house for the next two weeks with no further notes Chat Icon

Re: Annoying? You decide!

I would move it - having lived in LB- and having to deal with street parking- I would be ****** if I could almost fit my car in a spot but couldn't b/c of a way another person parked

and I would squeeze my car in any where I could- sometimes you just don't have a choice- I didn't care b/c my car was leased- and I knew it was going back anyway
