Another BTDT Moms having multiples after a single...

Did you go back to work? And if so, how was getting out of the house each day?!? I get up earlier now to get DD ready and out, if you had to do it with three what was your morning like?!? I am afraid of how this is going to work Chat Icon

I work Tues-Fri. Off Mondays.

My mom watches them, shes actually runs a daycare. my DH has nutty hrs so sometimes I am not the one getting out all 3 in am. It changes day to day.

On a day I get out all 3, I just get up earlier, and boys are usually up already, get them changed, fed and get us out.

IDK, I dreaded it too but I think you just get into a routine/groove and it works.

Thanks for replying!! I figure it will become routine after a while but, yeah I guess i am dreading the beginning a little and how it will be!

Re: Another BTDT Moms having multiples after a single...

I've only been back 2 weeks, but its not bad at all in the mornings. Probably because I spend a lot of time preparing at night. I don't wake up much earlier at all. I shower at night. I pick out all of our clothes at night. Prepare their morning bottles and DS sippy cup of milk at night. Pack the babies daycare stuff and put it in the car at night. So the morning is pretty easy.

I get all of the kids ready- dressed, fed, etc, but I only drop the babies off at daycare. Dh drops Landon off at preschool. MIL picks him up and watches hm for the rest of the day. At night I pick the babies up and DH picks Landon up from MILs. Its working so far!

(I only work 2 days per week- 10 hour days)
For me, it would be too much to work F/T. I am thankful I have the option not to work. But I do enjoy working, and my situation (20 hrs per week) is really the best of both worlds.

Wow your situation sounds great! 2 days a week would be ideal for me, but it doesn't seem like that's going to happen for us right now. With DD i don't do a lot of prepping the night before because she is failrly easy now although I am sure if I did it would be even quicker! I am just going to have to become more organized when the babies come.

I have hope! I have been stressing about the same thing. DH and I are both HS teachers and are trying to figure out when I am going back to work and how the heck it is all going to work.
