another communion spin-off- boy outfits
DS has to wear a suit for his communion. do you think if i go shopping second weekend in april (april 7, the week AFTER easter) there will still be suits in the stores?
Also, which store do you recommend going to? DS has a round middle and wears husky jeans so i'm afraid i won''t find a suit that fits.

I ordered online for DS. It just needs to be hemmed. I figured it would be easier to order a bunch of different sizes than to take him shopping.
Target actually has suits - and you can buy it as separates in case you need a different size on top or on the bottom.

I think there are a lot of suits this time of year. You can also try specialty suit stores like Brooks Brothers where you can buy the jacket and pants separately.

I bought my husky boy’s suit online at Macy’s. I wanna say it was Lauren by Ralph Lauren.

I would be nervous waiting until after Easter to get a suit. I went shopping for ds' suit this weekend & boys suit sections were a mess at all dept stores I went to. I gave up & ordered one online. Sears had husky boys suits.

I would look now to make sure you have time to get his size and get it tailored as needed. My son (and most boys I know) needed to get tailoring.
I bought it at a specialty store - Cathy's Touch in Merrick - and they pretty much only sell children's formal wear (for christenings, communions, etc.). But even still, when I went, they were out of the "slim" cut pants in my son's size, so I had to get regular size and get it taken in... a lot. Sometimes it's hard to buy off the rack and find what you need, so I'd just start looking sooner rather than later.

I would def look now also for this reason. We had to do the same thing at Cathy's. I needed a slim pant too!!!!!!

I got my DS communion suit (Ralph Lauren) from Lord and Taylor on a sale about two weeks ago. I would not wait.
