Another Dr. Brown's Question

Am I doing something wrong? I'm having a terrible time with leakage.
I use stage 3 nipples and the formula pours out of them when tilted. I also found that if I put the cap on too tightly, the formula goes up the tube and leaks out the sides too. I'm so frustrated, that I'm ready to toss them!!

Re: Another Dr. Brown's Question

I NEVER had that problem.
I get that with the Svent bottle if they are NOT screwed on correctly

I can't tell you how many times my diaper bag has been soaked! Do you replace the parts? Maybe that's my problem.

No, I have used the same parts. The only thing I replce is the nipples.

I use the white coin like cap that comes with the new bottle for the diaper bag, this way they wont leak in the bag.

I never had that problem. I think it may have happened once when I didn't have the nipple in all the way. I'm still using stage 1 though.

I never had that problem either.

Are you using the white chip inside the nipple during travel?

Re: Another Dr. Brown's Question

I am using the disk. The formula goes up the tube when it's very tight, and out the sides. With the nipples, I can't ever let Charlie hold the bottle because it pours out.

Re: Another Dr. Brown's Question

We're using Stage 3, and if Jackson holds the bottle upside down, it leaks. It doesn't pour, but definitely drips pretty good.
Do you heat up the bottle? When we heat it up, we leave the top loose. I think if you leave it tight, the pressure builds up inside and that's what causes the leakage.
