another halloween post - Does anyone else not have that much time to take DC trick or treating during the week?
It's hard when halloween falls on a weekday. DH gets home at 6:30 & on that wednesday, I will probably be getting home at 7. Is it worth going out for even 30 min?

I would leave work early that day. Kids will remember what they did for halloween forever.

I can be home at 3 and I still only go for an hour max. LOL I take DD to the houses on my block, and then we drive to my aunt's house and my MIL's house and then thats it.
She doesnt need all that candy, *I* dont need all that candy - its just for everyone to see her!

Eh-I don't know, I only remember a couple of halloweens from when I was a kid.
To the OP-How old is your DC? I would go for 30-60 minutes because it can still be fun. And, if yoru DC is young, that's about all they can do anyway.

My DH took off from work that day since I'll will have to beg to leave work early, and it's never a definite until right before I walk out the door.
Last year, I was asked to come back to work after trick-or-treating with my son. I mean, really?

I bet you'd remember more if you didn't go out ToT'ing.
If you can't get off early, I'd still go out. Some malls have TOT'ing on the weekend so you could do that. Or Suffolk Community College has a Halloween fair.

By then, my kids will be almost 3 & 4 months old. I'll probably just try to take them, even if it's for just 30 min. I hope people will still answer the door at 7-7:30pm.

Not as as a toddler-no one really remembers that far back. But what I meant is go TOT but go for 30 minutes. I think that is fine. Especially for little ones.

I don't get home until 5:30 but DH gets home around 4:00. He waits a little while and then takes the kids and I meet him. If he didn't get home early, I would leave work early that day.
