I would have been insane for those 3 days. I probably would have kicked them out after day 1 and told DH to drive them to the nearest hotel. She is something else. Where do they live...I hope far away where you wont have to deal with her. I am sorry you had to deal with that...but be thankful they are gone

WOW, you must bite you tongue all the time. I would have freaked out by now. I hate it when everyone tells you want to do or rolls their eyes. I have a MIL that makes a, Uh Huh noise every time she doesn't agree with me. Which is always. 
I feel for you!! And DH should step in and say something. I freaked out on my DH about some things, but he's starting to come around. I hope I'm not dreaming.

OMG....well I think you get a ton of points for leaving the baby with her.
Its hard where all of your guests are from out of town. My BIL had my neices eating on my couch during their visit we don't even eat on my couch.
That's weird about the green outfit...

Her falling and them wearing shoes and bring food into the baby's room would be entirely forgiveable in my book -- the rest sounds absolutely miserable.

Sounds to me like MIL can't deal with her only son having a new #1 woman in his life and that is how she deals with it, by not respecting you and the rules or your house and your instructions for the baby.
DH needs to get some "scene control" over his mother.

Sounds like she likes to play the deaf person act. She really doesn't listen to what you say, but she must hear you. I wonder if your dh told her these things, would she listen then?

well, at least they live far away from you, so how often will you really have to deal w/this! I mean, if it took them 6 1/2 months to make the initial visit...then what-maybe 1x per year?!
(you're luckier than i am...i have to see "the witch" as I refer to her every other week!

Thank God she's gone! Oh my God what a nightmare!
I hate it hate it hate it when the IL's make stupid comments or tell you what you should be doing. I remember this one time we were at my BIL's house cut it was DH's niece's birthday and DS was 7 months at the time. He was not holding his own bottle (still doesn't and he's 1) so anyways I had to feed him and they were serving dinner (a smal buffet type of thing). So I asked DH to make me a plate and that I would eat after giving the baby a bottle. So my BIL's wife says "let him hold his own bottle". I told her that he wouldn't and he gets distracted so I have to feed him. She was like "nonsense" She took him from my arms placed him in the highchair reclined it back and propped the bottle onto a towel. I took him out of the highchair and said "I don't prop bottles, I hate that ****"...So I took him into another room to feed him because I was ready to flip my lid! How dare she just take him out of my arms like that! I would never do that to someone else's baby!

Their visit should have ended when it started.
