Another officer hit by a drunk driver
Not sure if this was posted yet. I was watching it on my overnight shift on the traffic cameras and wondering what the heck was going on there.

What is it going to take for punishments for DWI/DUI to become harsher and a real deterrent? It really makes my blood boil......

 This is terrible.
Thank GOD, the officer seems to be in stable condition and his injuries seem to be non-life threatening. I wish him the speediest recovery possible... what a horrible and traumatic thing.
When are we going to wake up? When are we going to say enough is enough?

It seems like nothing will force law makers to impose harsher punishment. If a woman sitting on the side of the road holding her daughter's severed head was not enough, I don't know what would be.

So scary because that is the way my hubby goes to work and that is the time he is normally on the Southern State in that direction.
As if their job isn't dangerous enough AT work- they have to worry about stuff like this on the way TO AND FROM work too..

It seems like every accident is caused by a drunk driver. There is no excuse..PERIOD. My dad drives to work on SS at 4 in the morning and I always worry because these morons are on the road.
