Another question about solids
We were doing 1/2 containers of fruit mixed with her cereal to begin with. We've moved on to veggies. She seems hungry at the end of the bowl (still opening up even though it's all gone) so I'm going to increase the amount. But, these are really runny and they seem to require the cereal to thicken them up a bit. Today when I tried a full container of veg with the 2 tlbsp of cereal it was runny. Do you increase their cereal to avoid this? Or do you just give them runny food and deal with the major mess?

Re: Another question about solids
I really don't think I have any advice
I have been giving Ali her cereal, veggies and fruits seperately. I don't really mix them up too much. Maybe a little when I am trying her on something new.
I have been giving her between 2-3 tablespoons of cereal (honestly I don't know how much - I don't measure it). With that a 1/2 container of veggies and a 1/2 container of fruit. If she is still a little hungry - I give her the rest of the container of either the veggies or fruit

Re: Another question about solids
Andrew will only eat the Oatmeal if it is thicker. I give him a Stage 2 container of veggies or fruit and then a bowl of Oatmeal. I mix it on the spoon.
I put about 4 tbsp in the bowl of Oatmeal and I mix it with water.
You can try going thicker. Eventually you will anyway

Re: Another question about solids
I always fed separately, but what about just adding a tiny bit of cereal flake into the veggies to thicken it. I used to do that to yogurt.

Re: Another question about solids
I mix them together and add more cereal if needed. I dont see the point of not giving it together, its so much easier and they are happy.
