Another Question Abut Alimentum

I posted yesterday about feed back about Alimentum b/c my daughter just started it yesterday...i just want to ask one other question..is it common for her stool to be very loose...she was having the opposite problem prior to the Alimentum..but it is almost like diarrhea..perhaps will it even out once her tummy is used to the Alimentum?? Thanks!

How quickly is she pooping? Because Ava has a milk allergy and when she had Alimentum, she violently vomitted and pooped RIGHT away. I think it's probably normal for her to have loose poop though because it's pre-digested so it moves through them easily.

She has been on other milk based formulas and has not vomitted or had diarrhea...her big problem is very bad gass. She did not vomit after Alimentum but the pooh was sort of right after she ate this afternoon. I just fed her about an hour ago and no pooh yet!

Katie's poop is always mushy with Alimentum. It's normal for her.

When I made the switch to Alimentum - I went from extreme strain/gas/constipation to going once a day (until we started baby food and it got more and more and more).

You need to be on the formula a full week to see it's full effect (like my sons' reflux got wrose at first on Alimentum until he learned to handle it better) but for my son the constipation went away right away! My son's lactose intolerant (he's 20 months) so that explains why he didn't handle regular formula and was fine with Alimentum.
